Synopsis
This award-winning feature traces the downfall of Julius (writer-director Marty Sadler), who finds his life in tatters after the end of a relationship, the loss of his job as a mental health worker and the sudden death of his adoptive father. Entering into a volatile relationship with the dead man’s bisexual daughter (Laura Keys) seems like a harmless escape until Julius becomes a slave to his dependence on booze, drugs and multiple partner sex.
In the tradition of PANIC IN NEEDLE PARK and TRAINSPOTTING, this harrowing and blackly comic exploration of the horrors of addiction features a star-making performance by newcomer Marty Sadler, who undergoes a shocking on-camera transformation.
