Synopsis
As a young man, legendary guitarist and music producer Chet Atkins found a way out of poverty when he picked up his first guitar and began to play. With exceptional talent and determination, Atkins eventually landed in Nashville where he was considered a pioneering force behind what would become known as 'The Nashville Sound'
Though a performer in his own right, it was Atkins‘ ear for music and hit songs that made him a highly sought-after producer. He became instrumental in crafting the careers of such stars as Elvis Presley, Eddy Arnold, The Everly Brothers, Waylon Jennings and Charley Pride.
