Synopsis
From Agnes Jaoui, celebrated director of Look at Me and The Taste of Others, comes LET IT RAIN, a witty look at the battle of the sexes and much more. Feminist writer Agathe (Jaoui) writer returns to the South of France to help her sister, Florence, sort out their deceased mother’s affairs. While there, Agathe decides to test the political waters by running in a local election and also agrees to be interviewed for a documentary about successful women being made by the blundering duo of Karim (Jamel Debbouze, Amelie), the son of Florence’s Algerian housekeeper, and self-professed “reporter” Michel (Jaoui’s regular writing partner, Jean-Pierre Bacri). As romantic entanglements, class resentments and the uncooperative weather intrude, Agathe’s life hilariously unravels – and the bumbling filmmakers are there to capture it all.
