Synopsis

Dash Mihok of THE PERFECT STORM and THE THIN RED LINE stars as Iraqi War veteran Ben Patchett, who returns home with a body shredded by shrapnel, a mind anguished by trauma, and a heart destroyed by his wife’s leaving for another man. But during a support group session with other troubled veterans, Ben meets a young documentary filmmaker (Spencer Treat Clark of MYSTIC RIVER) who wants to tell his story. Together these two men will explore the damage of war, the limitations of redemption, and the power of friendship to heal even the deepest wounds. Margo Martindale (MILLION DOLLAR BABY) co-stars in this award-winning drama from writer/director Alan Brown that Cinequest calls, “tense, superbly acted and sure to spark discussion. SUPERHEROES is a rare film that speaks to both the mind and heart.”
